On this page I hope to give you some general advice depending on your skin concerns and recommendations to help you choose the right treatment for you. Remember that everyone is different and there won’t be a miracle cure but consistency is key!
No matter your skin type, there are extrinsic factors which can affect your skin, such as pollution, smoking, diet, UVA & UVB rays.
Pollution in the air and from cigarette smoke will damage your skin. Try to eat a healthy diet, plenty of water, fruits and vegetables whilst cutting out/down on sugar, processed meat, dairy, fried food.
Absolutely everyone should be wearing a SPF 50 on their face every day of the year no matter the weather! UVA and UVB exposure account for 80-90% of skin ageing. Both companies I work with have Facial sunscreens of SPF 50 specifically formulated for the delicate skin on your face.
Skincare Routine – Cleanse your skin everyday when you come home to remove free radicals, excess sebum and dirt and keep your pores clear. Hydrate, even if you have oily skin your skin still needs hydration to keep your skin barrier healthy.
Skin Purging – You’ve started a new skincare routine and you’ve had a breakout. When you use products which exfoliate and encourage skin dead skin cells to shed, this can accelerate the life cycle of a spot bringing it to the surface quicker. This is called skin purging and can last about 4 weeks.
What’s your skin type?
Dehydrated – Dehydrated skin is caused by external elements (weather and seasonal changes), unhealthy diet (lack of fresh produce) and lifestyle choices (alcohol or caffeine consumption). All of these factors deplete your skin’s water content, resulting in a less supple appearance. You may have oily skin that’s also dehydrated therefore it can be hard choosing the right products . Dehydrated skin lacks water where as dry skin lacks natural oils . Dry skin is a skin type, while dehydration is considered a skin condition.
Dry – not enough sebum (oil), dull appearance, fine lines appear easily, itchy/flaky
Mature – dryer and finer skin, dehydrated, lacking luminosity, lack of tone/firmness, deep set lines/wrinkles, sallow skin colour, open pores, hyperpigmentation/age spots
Oily/Congested – shiny/greasy appearance, prone to breakouts/blackheads/redness, large pores, no dry patches
Sensitive – easily irritated or reactive, can burn, itch or sting, can flush or blush easily
Dehydrated Skin
General tips – your skin is lacking water, drink plenty of fresh water and eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. Look for products with antioxidants and hyaluronic acid to hydrate and repair the skin barrier.

Acne/Oily/Congested Skin
All acne is caused by a blockage of the hair follicle, either from inside the hair follicle from an overproduction and build up of sebum and dead skin cells, or from outside the hair follicle where substances such as makeup, sweat and excess sebum enter the follicles opening. These blockages can then attract bacteria which leads to inflammation and redness.
General tips –
Acne prone skin requires 3 main skincare processes: Cleansing, Exfoliation (to unblock the hair follicle) and Hydration. Hydration is important because the more hydrated your skin the less sebum your skin needs to produce which can lead to breakouts.
Use a fresh side of your pillow every night, so if you use 2 pillows, you will have 4 nights of fresh sides before you wash them.
Clean your phone. Try not to touch your face.
Does your hair touch your face? check the ingredients in your shampoo. When hair care products contain oil, the oil can find its way to your skin. Once this happens, the oil can clog your pores. Clogged pores can lead to acne. When hair care products are the culprit, you’ll likely get whiteheads and tiny flesh-colored bumps called “papules.” These can appear along your hairline, forehead, or the back of your neck. The cause could also be something less obvious. Many hair care products, including shampoos, conditioners, styling gels, waxes, pastes, and sprays, contain oil.

The Million Dollar Microneedling is a treatment used on the face, specifically targeting acne scarring, pore size and fine lines and wrinkles. Recovery is rapid with very little downtime, residual pain or discomfort. Microneedling increased the availability of cell nutrients and helps to strengthen the collagen in vessel walls and connective tissue.
